Complete life safety and security systems for office buildings, retail centers, and commercial properties across the Wasatch Front.

Industry Overview

The Backbone of Business Safety

Commercial and office buildings are the most common project type for PCS — and the space where our full-service capability provides the clearest value to general contractors and building owners. We install fire alarm, suppression, access control, CCTV, ERRCS, and low voltage cabling under one contract, eliminating the coordination complexity that comes with managing multiple specialty subs.

For tenant improvement projects, our in-house engineering capability is particularly valuable. We can design and permit fire alarm system modifications for virtually any TI scope without waiting for a third-party engineer, accelerating the design review process and keeping tenant move-in schedules on track.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. PCS handles both new construction life safety systems and TI modifications. For TI work, our in-house engineering capability is particularly valuable — we can design, permit, and install fire alarm modifications for tenant improvements without relying on an outside engineer, which accelerates the overall project timeline.

When PCS installs fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and pulls all the low voltage wire on the same project, there is one sub coordinating all low voltage work. This eliminates scheduling conflicts between trades, reduces RFI volume, and provides a single point of accountability for all low voltage systems throughout the building's life.

Yes. PCS provides fire alarm annual inspection and certification, sprinkler inspection, and fire extinguisher services for commercial buildings — whether we installed the systems or not.
